To celebrate this National Indigenous Peoples Day, spend time learning about not just the history of Indigenous people but what is happening and how to be an ally to these communities right now. Our restaurant is situated on the ancestral homelands of the Anishinaabek Peoples, specifically the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and we recognize and honour the ancestors of this land. We are dedicated to furthering reconciliation with First Nations in Canada and standing with the Indigenous community and all People of Colour in the fight against systemic racism. This is not just a sentiment for today, but a movement that must be collectively pushed forward until equality and justice are achieved for all people.
